About the Journal

Jurnal Ilmiah Ekonomi dan Kewirausahaan (JIEK) (e-ISSN 2963-6396, p-ISSN 1411-3880) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal published by Universitas Nusa Megarkencana, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. JIEK is published twice a year, in March and October, covering Economics, Management, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship.

Manuscripts submitted to JIEK are evaluated in two stages: an initial review and a substantive review.

The initial review is carried out by the editorial team to check that the manuscript fits the focus and scope of the journal, its writing style, and the JIEK author guidelines. Plagiarism is checked using Turnitin/iThenticate. The initial review takes 1–2 weeks.

The substantive review is conducted single-blind by at least two reviewers and takes 3–8 weeks. Reviewers may request another round of review after the authors revise their manuscript.

The Editor in Chief decides whether a manuscript is published based on the reviewers’ recommendations. Accepted manuscripts that have completed layout are published first as an In Progress issue before the regular issue appears on schedule, so they can be indexed and cited sooner.
